Biography:
Has a BA in sociology and cognitive science from Tel Aviv University where
he also completed his studies for a master degree in the quantitative research
program in sociology (specializing in quantitative methodology and survey
research). Received his MA from UCSD in 2002 and was advanced to candidacy
in 2003. His two primary interests are identity politics and social movements
in Israel (with an emphasize on the Arab-Israeli conflict) and Governmentality
(in particular the sociological study of State Established Commissions of
Inquiry). He has published articles on both topics in Hebrew and English
Journals. His dissertation focuses on the impact of governmental commissions
on the development of social science methodology and its professionalization
in Britain and the United States.
