Research
My scholarly interests are at the intersection of Law and Healthcare,
with my dissertation research focused upon recent debates over the safety of medical care.
I follow the rise of patient safety discourse over the last two decades,
tracing how advocacy that emerged in response to specific medical malpractice crises
has been transformed, merging with broader healthcare quality and reform efforts.
My dissertation committee consists of Jeffrey Haydu (Chair), Andrew Lakoff (Co-chair),
Steven Epstein, Michael Schudson, and Edwin Hutchins.
