I am a PhD candidate in the Department
of Sociology at The University of California, San Diego. I
am interested in studying the relationship between
identities and the economy. My dissertation is
focused on the overlap of religion and ethnicity in
business networking. Currently, I am conducting
research with Iraqi, Lebanese, and Palestinian business owners in Detroit, Michigan.
