Abigail Andrews

Associate Professor

Abigail Andrews is Associate Professor of Sociology and Director of the Mexican Migration Field Research Program at UCSD. She received her BA in American Studies and Spanish from Amherst College and her MA and PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her principal research interests are in gender, migration, and political sociology, with a focus on Mexico, Central America, and the United States. She brings a global, feminist lens to her work, and she is committed to community-engaged teaching for immigrant and climate justice.
