Rebecca C. Franklin is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at the University of California, San Diego. She received her B.A. from Oberlin College in Latin American Studies and History, and her M.A. from American University in Spanish: Latin American Studies and International Relations. The first portion of her M.A. was completed as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar at the Autonomous University of Puebla, Mexico.
